The code should compile and run with the following sets of tools:

• Intel compiler 2015, Intel MPI 5.x, HDF5 1.8.x, metis 5.x

• GCC 4.8.x, Open-MPI 1.8.x, HDF5 1.8.x, metis 5.x

• GCC 4.8.x, Platform-MPI 9.1.x, HDF5 1.8.x, metis 5.x

The code should also be able to run without MPI activated.
