xmf descriptor file when writing distributed snapshots

We need to create xmf files that are valid when writing a snapshot over multiple files (see !990 (merged)). Alternatively, we can explore whether there is a better way to feed SWIFT outputs to paraView.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
