Make gravity dithering the default behaviour. Put the variables in the gravity properties for consistency.

Also apply the distance criterion when checking for BH mergers. Read the correct value of G from the physical constant structure.

Do not access the space any more in the gravity calculation functions. All relevant information are stored in the pm_mesh structure.

Extract the mesh gravity forces to a separate set of functions. Get the forces directly from the mesh to the gparts. Do not use the tree here.

Add a new parameter to the gravity calculation to control the frequency of the tree rebuild using a fraction of the number of gpart updates.

The lenghts are checked against the expected values and cause an error, the labels are not currently used (would need to add API to return the headers so that these could be speculatively queried and the stream rolled back, so maybe not a great idea).
